No. 337-TA-827).</p>

<p>The investigation is based on a December 13, 2011 complaint filed by Twin-Star International, Inc. of Delray Beach, Florida and TS Investment Holding Corp. of Miami, Florida alleging violation of Section 337 in the importation into the U.S. and sale of certain electric fireplaces, components thereof, manuals for same, and products containing same and in relation to certain processes for manufacturing or relating to same by reason of infringement of certain Twin-Star registered copyrights, breach of contract, tortious interference with Twin-Star’s contractual relations, and misappropriation of Twin-Star’s trade secrets.  <em>See</em> our <a href="http://www.itcblog.com/20111215/twin-star-files-new-337-complaint-regarding-certain-electric-fireplaces-2/">December 15, 2011 post</a> for more details.</p>

Jason Yue of China, and Whalen Furniture Manufacturing Inc. of San Diego, California as respondents in this investigation.  The Notice of Investigation further provides that this investigation will be consolidated with Inv. No. 337-TA-791 currently pending before ALJ Shaw.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On December 21, 2011, the U.S. International Trade Commission voted to institute an investigation of <em>Certain Dynamic Random Access Memory Devices, and Products Containing Same</em> (Inv. No. 337-TA-821).</p>
<p>The investigation is based on a November 21, 2011 complaint filed by Nanya Technology Corporation of Taiwan alleging violation of Section 337 in the importation into the U.S. and sale of certain dynamic random access memory (“DRAM”) devices and products containing same that infringe one or more claims of U.S. Patent Nos. 5,677,566, 6,399,983, 6,586,796, and 6,664,634.  <em>See</em> our <a href="http://www.itcblog.com/20111123/nanya-files-new-337-complaint-regarding-certain-dynamic-random-access-memory-devices/">November 23, 2011 post</a> for more details.</p>
<p>According to the <a href="http://www.itcblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/noiin821.pdf">Notice of Investigation</a>, the ITC has identified Elpida Memory, Inc. of Japan and Elpida Memory (USA) Inc. of Sunnyvale, California and Kingston Technology Co., Inc. of Fountain Valley, California as respondents in this investigation.  The Notice of Investigation further indicates that the Office of Unfair Import Investigations will not participate as a party in this investigation.</p>
<p>Lastly, Chief ALJ Charles E. Bullock issued a <a href="http://www.itcblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/aljnoticein821.pdf">notice</a> indicating that Robert K. Rogers, Jr. will be the presiding Administrative Law Judge in this investigation.</p>

No. 337-TA-820).</p>
<p>The investigation is based on a November 15, 2011 complaint filed by Rovi Corporation, Rovi Guides, Inc., United Video Properties, Inc., and Gemstar Development Corporation—all of Santa Clara, California—and Index Systems, Inc. of the British Virgin Islands alleging violation of Section 337 in the importation into the U.S. and sale of certain products containing interactive program guide and parental controls technology, including televisions, that infringe certain claims of U.S. Patent Nos. 7,493,643, RE41,993, 6,701,523, and 7,047,547.  <em>See</em> our <a href="http://www.itcblog.com/20111116/rovi-files-new-337-complaint-regarding-certain-products-containing-interactive-program-guide-and-parental-controls-technology-3/">November 16, 2011 post</a> for more details.</p>
