On April 29, 2010, the U.S. International Trade Commission issued a press release announcing that it voted to institute an investigation of Certain Game Controllers (Inv. No. 337-TA-715).

The investigation is based on an April 1, 2010 complaint and an April 15, 2010 supplement to the complaint filed by Microsoft Corporation of Redmond, Washington alleging violation of Section 337 in the importation into the U.S. and sale of certain game controllers that infringe certain claims of U.S. Patent Nos. D521,015, D522,011, D547,763, D581,422, D563,480, and D565,668.  See our April 2, 2010 post for more details.

According to the Notice of Investigation, the ITC has identified Datel Design and Development Inc. of Clearwater, Florida and Datel Design and Development Ltd. of the United Kingdom as the respondents in this investigation.

Further, Lisa A. Murray of the Office of Unfair Import Investigations is identified on the Notice of Investigation as the Investigative Attorney assigned to handle this investigation.
