On March 8, 2012, ALJ Thomas B. Pender issued Order No. 9 in Certain Electronic Devices With Communication Capabilities, Components Thereof, and Related Software (Inv. No. 337-TA-808).

According to the Order, ALJ Pender rescheduled the Markman hearing and it will now take place on April 26-27, 2012.

In addition, ALJ Pender determined to “place limits on the number of terms the parties may identify for construction as part of the Markman hearing so that [he] can ensure the subsequent Markman Order will issue in a timely manner useful to the parties.”  Accordingly, ALJ Pender determined that “each of Complainant, Respondent, and Staff shall be permitted a total of 10 terms for construction as part of the Markman Hearing.”
