Sandra (Dee) Lord was appointed as an Administrative Law Judge at the U.S. International Trade Commission in September 2013. Prior to her appointment, she served as an ALJ with the Social Security Administration's Office of Disability Adjudication and Review (National Hearing Center) in Falls Church, VA.

Previously, she was an ALJ in the Social Security Administration's Raleigh Hearing Office in Raleigh, NC; a Special Master in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims' Office of Special Masters; a trial attorney in the Commercial Litigation Branch/Frauds section in the Department of Justice's Civil Division; Of Counsel at the Washington, DC, law firm of Ross, Dixon & Masback (now Troutman Sanders, LLC); an Associate General Counsel at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Bethesda, MD; and an Assistant Counsel for Appellate Litigation in the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of the Solicitor.

She holds a bachelor of arts degree, summa cum laude, from Yale University and earned her juris doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center. She is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia and the State of Maryland.
